Waiting for inspiration on a windy monday...

I kept sighing all day, feeling vaguely frustrated because inspiration ceased flirting with me on

this windy monday and deserted my creative neurones !

so at the end of the day my sketchbook remains blank...the summer cards will have to wait

And then in the evening, rummaging through old sketchbooks,

I found this Chinese proverb, I noted down once to make sure it won't be forgotten:

Avec le temps et la patience, les feuilles de mûrier deviendront robe de soie

With time and patience, mulberry leaves will turn into a silk dress.

It brought a big smile on my face and I thought, never mind tomorrow is another day !

ps: talking about silk and although it was published a few years ago, did you read the novel Silk by Alessandro Baricco or see the movie ? I'm curious, if you read it, to know your feeling about this book. Were you enthralled by it ?

i am now reading An Iliad by the same author, which is a sort of modern rewriting of Homer's classic and am completely captivated by it.

Dear Lala,
What a beautiful Chinese proverb. Sometimes I have trouble being patient. Thank you for the book recommendation. I have not read Silk yet.
Hopefully inspiration has grabbed your hand today!
Sending you my best thoughts.

What a wonderful proverb. Must look for both those books - to add to my scary-looking large stack of books still waiting for my time and attention! :)
