Grey skies and a running nose don't prevent you from being grey(ly) glamorous

I'm stuffing myself with all sorts of pills to get rid of this tenacious post-winter flu.

Monchéri comes back from the pharmacy with suplemento vitaminico and fresh ideas for my monday's post (oops, am about to confess he's my styling and inspiring buddy).

Tell you what, he says, make it a GREY day....just like the sky today....well more or less

Grey skies never hang on too long in lucky sunny Andalusia

So yes..... style me pretty in grey today

Let's see what do we have here

A couple of dresses. Mmm...too light, need some woolies

Do you like these ?

How about shoes ?

Alas...I never wear these...the tweed ones have long been an old time favorite
but are absolutely not practicable. Impossible de marcher avec ! Impossible to walk with them
the ballerinas are slightly too big
I'm quite a fetishist...obviously not a good buyer !

The strassed sandal in the middle...Oh yes this one, I wear.....

How about a bag to hang on to ?

this is the draft of a bag, I designed a few years ago,
called the "ballerina" clutch bag.

I feel sad I didn't keep a sample for me. It brings back funny and beautiful memories
of my girlfriends giving a hand at my place.

One assembling the fabric patches. Another placing the ribbons.

I love working with women !

two new purchased big cushions bought in the village
at 4€ each....

Mmmm....too cheap to be honest ?

I know....it bothers me sometimes to buy cheap new clothing or textile
Can't help thinking where is it made, in what working conditions
I'm sure you must feel the same at times

Shall we talk about it sometime around a nice cup of coffee

with artichokes ?

Wonderful! Soothing oyster tones of grey, silver, mother-of-pearl...

I love these photos, they are all so artistically done. You have some beautiful possessions. How do you know how to arrange them to best artful photograph? It is a talent of yours.

The coffee and the artichokes..what a juxtaposition, but the way you have done it, it works beautifully. This photo is memorable.

I never know what delights I will find when I pop over to the castle in Spain!

Lavinia

oh, hope you get to feeling better soon. i know the feeling, just when you think you've made it through winter and a spring cold presents itself...

'going grey' seems like a magnificent idea. as we say 'when you've got lemons... make lemonade.' ...feeling sick and it's a grey day... i'd say you have transformed it into something beautiful...

besos!
This is a beautiful, luminous, glowingly gray post! I love your use of light and shadows for these photos, and how you made things shine! Well, at least you are having a good time making beautiful vignettes despite your flu/cold. I hope it goes away very quickly and stays away!

I have no idea how I made my way to your wonderful blog. I guess I was just following the links until I wandered into your castle. How pleased I am that I did. I love this post. Grey is such a quietly beautiful color. It never fusses when some other color gets all the attention. I love grey and I love your photos. I'll be back soon.

What a great post. The photos are amazing. I also love grey - it looks fantastic when you add any bright colour to it - very classy.
