Moorish inspiration

I surely fell in love with Morocco even before setting foot there.
Many years ago, when I started to design stationary and packaging in Paris
I think I already had these colors in my head, shades of
soft pink and blue. I surely had a vision of this delightful old fashioned beauty salon

when I designed this packaging for
samples of perfume

surely the vibrant blue color in Essaouira

had inspired me these notebooks
in my dreams surely I transported myself in a magic garden
with a unique shade of blue

which I then tried to find but no it wasn't the same blue
surely images of the desert flashed through my mind
when I designed these
perhaps in my imagination I wandered through the spices market
in the old Jewish district in Marrakech
when I made this little notebook
or strolled outside the city walls

when I created this album
and finally one day when I moved to southern Spain
I was able to cross the sea and see all these beautiful colors for real

Clearly Morocco is one of your places of the soul, as it is mine. There is so much there that resonates with my creativity, too, although much of that has yet to be realised. And the Jardins Majorelle are extraordinary..... Good to seeing you having such a good time there. I miss Marrakesh. Did you manage to see Elizabeth?

Lala, your post is the most beautiful I've seen today....what is not to love, about your photos, and about Morocco....

I feel a deep connection to Morocco..I was there only once, so many years ago...but I dream of returning, often.

Your designs are all so beautiful, you are une artiste vrai.

Your creativity is an inspiration. I wish many happy things for you Lala!
