Sunday market in Granada-Maracena

I'm not too much of an early riser especially on sundays
but the word "fleamarket" makes me jump out of bed
at a reasonable time of let's say 9am and here am I,
ready for my favorite sport: intensive walking in a fleamarket
I'm longing to go to the Madrid fleamarket which is fairly enormous
but eh...why go to Madrid when there is one in Granada...

I like to touch things of the past, wherever it's allowed to do so

old cameras attract me

do you think these stenographers are still in use today?

love these green big bottles

and aren't these plates charming?

I'm sure it must make a difference when you brush your hair
with such stylish accessories....
...hate my plastic brush now

I was asking myself, when is the last time I wore long gloves?
couldn't remember....apart from the plastic ones for the washing up

oh.....the lovely feathered fan

and more glittery things

one of my main joys in a fleamarket is to find vintage clip earrings

women can be so easily pleased, can't they?.....

I think I just died and went to heaven. A feather fan! Long gloves! Love it all...
My own eyes are on the teacups, especially the red-patterned one in the last two shots! And that stunning galleon in the first shot.

Flea markets are lots of fun. Thanks for taking us along on your visit.

The bird plates were very popular in England some years ago.
The designs were reproduced on other things too.Notice the English robins.
Such fascinating things out there for those with eyes to see......

oh my goodness....

those little plates with birds
call to my heart!
i ~~always and without fail~~
but plates and cups
with little birds on them.

:-)

if there is a bird on it,
i forget tp ask the price.

i say,
i'll take that, please,
and keep my fingers crossed
i have enough cash.

i saw something
that looked like
green pearl earrings...
yep!
i would want those, too...

say, if i go again to spain,
i must look you up
for a shopping expedition.

seriously.

you have a good eye.

Lala, what treasures you came across. I too like poking around in flea markets. One time I found a silver charm in the shape of a mermaid....too bad, some years later it was lost...

The vintage jewellery, you are right, it doesn't take a lot to please.....

I'm glad you had a good day at the market...if you ever go to the Madrid flea market, be sure to post those pics too...

So many lovely things.
