Happy drinks at the Alhambra Palace Hotel in Granada

Last sunday was definitely a time to relax

in one of our favorite places in Granada
the Alhambra Palace Hotel

on its inviting terrace

sipping a red martini on the rocks

watching the beautiful views of Granada

we didn't want to go back home
and walked down to plaza de Principe
to have dinner on the roof terrace of
this charming restaurant which i showed you before

colorful plates and ceramic ornaments
are literally everywhere

we had grilled fish facing the Alhambra palace hotel

dreaming of spending one night
once in the parador de l'Alhambra

That hotel is INCREDIBLE! It is like a step back in time...

There is an old apartment building in downtown SF called The Alhambra. It has a dome of the roof, and although it is not in a very good part of town, still has some grandeur from the 1920s. Rumor has it that the penthouse is where Rudolph Valentino used to stay when he visited San Francisco.

I have some photos of it that I will send to you...it's nice to know that our little Alhambra has a beautiful inspiration from where you live.

What a wonderful place to visit when one feels one needs a treat, say, after working so hard on a translation!!!

Inspiration inducing too no doubt.

I dreaming of asking you to join me for tea on my private terrace at the Alhambra Palace Hotel. Then, you can take me to all your favorite shopping jaunts. Oh! Wouldn't that be a dream come true.

So beautiful. I would love to have a drink here in the company of a dashing, debonair gentleman, who will whisper sweet nothings to me in Spanish!
