I have long admired this part of Spain, in fact one of my earlier posts has a photo of a courtyard at Alhambra. I have visited flickr.com for photos of Alhambra and it was so nice to see these on your site today.

I visited Spain once, years ago, there were two ports of call on a cruise---Malaga and Cadiz. Also took a day trip to Marbella--it was beautiful and there was such beauty in the courtyards, the fountains, the ornamention of the area.

I would love to go back for a more thorough visit. A friend of mine has an acquaintace who did a Pilgrim's Trail through miles of Spain---I can't recall the region---but it is a famous one and he met people from all over the world along the journey. Spain is one of those countries that appeals to people from many different nations, and they feel a strong connection to it.
