Get the Moorish vibes in Granada

summer isn't here yet
we're experiencing such a weird weather
and I would love to go further south
just quickly hop to Tangiers for instance

in the meantime I wander through the
little souk in Granada to find an exotic gift for a friend

if you ever come to Granada
I'll be delighted to guide you in these narrow and lively streets

where you can sit in a Moroccan tearoom
and have mint tea any time

or buy pink sequined slippers

or beads and bangles

chiffon scarves in vibrant orange and blue colors

aren't these cute ?

so perfect for delicate tiny feet....but I need to find a gift for a big tall guy!
without sequins I suppose

I spotted the silver bangles and I COVET! At any given time I am wont to wear about five of those on these bread sticks I call arms. They're from everywhere (India, Israel, Cambodia...) I must have one from that part of the world!

ps. Lala, I've tagged you on my blog, if you should have time to check it out. This one involves music. Ay! :-)

pps. Lala, this weekend is perfectly fine for getting back on the tag! I envy your flamenco experience. :-)
Such satisfying splashes and pools of color everywhere...patterns, sequins; those Moorish vibes are coming through loud and clear!

I adore winding, narrow streets!

Love those multicolored lantern things (I assume those are lanterns) hanging on a line above everyone's head in that one shot.

An oasis of colour, bright and peacock palette....

LaLa, you know I love to sit and drink mint tea.

Near my house, is a Lebanese cafe, and they serve mint tea in authentic little glasses, with glass saucer. They put a big mint leaf in each glass. It's very nice.

You know, LaLa, years ago I was in Tangier and we drank our "hospitality drink" in a famous tearoom there, with tiles on the wall and musicians serenading us.
