The white fashion show which almost could ......

I was telling you lately about my dream and ambition of designing a white homewear collection in cotton and linen. I thought you would like to see the photo which was meant to be the invitation card to the show a summer white dream. The idea of the dinner setting was inspired from Da Vinci "Last supper" with an innocent touch of humor and copied from other fashion ads like Benetton's. I love organizing events, any kind of event and spur my friends to participate, telling them how much fun we’ll have, so could you please be there at 10 in the morning? Luckily they like me and laugh at my fits of eccentricity, so the day we made that photo and invaded Gym’s barn, everybody was quite in a cheerful mood and ready to listen and obey to the instructions of assistant Clare, photographer Tim and mine. Clare, who works on movie and ads sets generously proposed to decorate the set with some fake wisteria which actually looks amazing. I bought yards and yards of white cotton to drape ourselves in a Roman style. My dear Gym who always follows me in my creative adventures picked up a beautiful chandelier from her shop to put on the table, placed the cushions and supplied the men's Moroccan babouches. Our friend Sarah lurked in a corner to blow some soap bubbles just at the right time and when Tim did clic clac, we all obediently struck our pose...

from left to right : Troy, Pascale, Luke, me, Amara

standing : Christian, Gym, Monchéri, Maria

kneeling: Louis

Troy very kindly wrote a beautiful poem on the color white for the purpose of the show. He's great at reciting Shakespeare. Pascale is a French friend living in my village. I think she looks really photogenic. Luke is an English musician, Christian is a German carpenter, Gym and Monchéri, you already know from here, here and here, Maria is a delightful and glamorous model, Amara, I had met the day before and found her so strikingly beautiful I asked her please join us ! and little Louis who now is not that little is Sarah's son and had since gone back to England to be a musician.

....after.....

what I need to tell you now is that hopefully one day
this white fashion show will occur
I still haven't used this great photo

hum....did I tell you, we did a cake show with Maria instead ?
it took place 3 years ago and I know what you're going to say,
where are the photos ? Good question, good point. Tim gave me a CD
but, yes, where is it ? Don't worry I'll find it....

Lala I continue to be amazed at your glamorous life, glamorous ideas, glamorous friends....

These photos are adorable...something bacchanalian about them....with the lute and the lyre...there is a Greek mythology aspect happening here....

White has been known to represent innocence, purity, cleanliness, peace, and perfect tranquility....

Lala,
I do have the photos of the cake show! I'll put them on a CD for you and drop it off this weekend. There's a flamenco fiesta in Restabal in a couple of weeks, are you going?
