Snowing in Granada.....

Something funny and incredible happened yesterday...(no, i'm not referring to Bush being attacked by an angry flying shoe). Big snowflakes gently fell down on our little Andalusian valley. It didn't hold but it was amazing to watch. We very rarely have snow here in the south of Granada. I found these pictures of the Alhambra covered with snow in 2006. Could you imagine to celebrate a Moorish-esque white Christmas in these beautiful surroundings ? No reindeers...just horses and camels....

edit to post:

actually another thing funny and incredible happened yesterday....Blogger enlisted my little corner of the world in its Blogs of note. Muchas gracias, Blogger and to you all for popping in.
I will do my best to come and visit you tomorrow ! I have to finish some work then go to a birthday party. If by any chance you know of a designer who creates beautiful warm woollen party dresses, I'll be very grateful !

Beautiful photo. A Moorish Christmas with a snowy background. Now, that's what I would call winter!

Greetings from London.

Incredible to see the Alhambra covered in snow! A Moorish Christmas in a winter wonderland would be breathtaking. But I do like when it comes, you see it, and then it goes away!

These are very beautiful pictures. We rarely see snow here in Austin, Tx. We always end up with nasty Ice Storms. Yuck!

Strange to see white roofs in Spain, and beautiful.
Your home looks beautiful in the snow. Have been to Sevilla, but never Granada-would like to come there some day.

How beautiful. Like you, I hate the cold but I love seeing it snow. My daughter called today absolutely overjoyed that it has been snowing in Portland (Oregan). We rarely get a snow and when it does snow, it doesn't usually stick but it makes me so appreciate of the days when the flakes gracefully fall and blanket the scenery in white.

Unbelievable - and we have no snow in Southern Finland! You have such a beautiful blog. I've been to Spain a few times but the bull fighting culture bothers me so much that I don't think I could ever live there. There were arenas everywhere.
