How flowery are you ?

It must be the spring feeling which lately makes me yearn for flowers. I'm planning to cover the walls of my small dressing room with a handmade pink flower paper. This morning, in quest of inspiration, I bought the Spanish AD edition which contained a full article on new flowery fabrics. I quite like this 30s industrial filing cabinet covered with cotton fabrics by Gaston y Daniela and so ideal for a girly dressing room.
and how about enormous flowers above the bed ? This is the bedroom of a Parisian couple living near Monaco. The artwork is a photography by British artist Marc Quinn entitled Nature morte aux fleurs. mmm....a bit too much non ?
I think I would like very much a paper mixing carnations and poems by Federico Garcia Lorca

How about you ? Are you flowery or is a total no-no ?

Hi LaLa-
Best of luck with the decorating. So much fun to peruse and choose and be inspired. I would have all sorts of feminine frills if I lived alone but I'm not too keen on having my husband surrounded by flowers! I try to have a mix of things. I would love to have my own little place on the Grand Canal in Venice though, where I would lounge about on lace pillows!

I am not too keen on florals. I love flowers in nature (uncut), but they seem to, well.....florid for my tastes.

But that is why there are so many design choices, because their are so many different tastes. Enjoy the project!

Since I'm a guy, so it's way too weird for me to love floral stuff. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying the huge flower oil painting on the wall. It's beautiful!
I am always drawn to flowers and if it were just me, there would be many more than there are now. I love flowered fabrics and, of course, real flowers.....china with floral patterns...flowers everywhere!

Enjoy your decorating project Lala!

I am beyond flowery. I believe I may have even been a flower in a past life. Perhaps a tulip. :)

Decidedly not flowery. Enjoyed in a vase but not anywhere else!

;-)
Oh, yes, spring and autumn are my two favourite seasons. The latter is death and the former is revival. Many thanks for such a good post.

Greetings from London.

I couldn't help but taking an extra glance at the flowers today as I walked past the flower stall. It's certainly that spring-feeling in the air.

My florist was selling 3 bunches for the price of 2 last Wednesday so my place is overflowing with flowers. I love having fresh flowers around.

And Garcia Lorca is one of my favorite poets: Verde que te quiero verde...

Interesting question - I like fresh flowers in the house (when I can afford them), but I have none in my garden - I don't really have the patience it takes to cultivate them! Also, I don't have flowery things in my home or in my closet. I guess then my answer is both yes and no!

Yes, only a bit. But flowery yes.
I love carnations too.
Makes me happy to bring in fresh flowers each week.
(or more often, if I could affford it.)
xoxo
Lala love ya!

Flowery when it comes to, well, flowers!! Real ones, that is. And on smaller items like napkins - my great weakness. But the filing cabinet is absolutely gorgeous...
Hope you're well Lala! Have a lovely weekend=)

Oh, yes. I am a flower girl. Fresh flowers once a week, flowers on Sloane's clothes, flowers on our pillows and tablecloths. I could move into that first picture. Tomorrow. Can you tell me more about where that image came from? What is AD? A magazine?

Also, did you take the last two images? They are pure magic. I adore your idea for poems and flowers wallpaper.
