Pretty women in Granada

Granada made itself pretty and put on a red carpet in honor of its first international classical movie festival until this week end. And...at the time I write this post, I realize I'm going to miss Fritz Lang's Ministry of fear...Shit..oh well....Never mind.

I took these pics yesterday on Carrera del Genil thinking, how funny some people avoid walking on the red carpet while others just walk right in the middle.

I was in total admiration of the elegant allure of the woman below right, in the leopard printed jacket. Great pencil skirt....

I still dare not stop people in the street and tell them ¡wow..me encanta tu look!..puedo tomar una foto de ti ? (I love your look...could I take a photo of you?). For instance, I would have loved to stop these girls but I was too shy. Honestly, it's very easy to fall in love with Granada girls, they're so pretty and sexy !

and they love boots, don't they ?

ciao bella !
wish I could go on a Roman holiday !

I will make sure that my second trip to Spain I have to visit Andalucia (including Granada of course) as I did not visit it in my previous trip.

The pictures are lovely.
I do think I am in love too, Lala Ema! Those elegant of the moment styles vamp my eyes...I however, am somewhat subdued with style...and tend toward the most comfortable "look" I can manage. I can't imagine walking any distance in those pointy heeled boots! I bought my daughter a pair though. She did willingly suffer during her Plaza las Americas mall walks. Btw, Do you walk on the red carpet? sigh...a film festival...what a treat! I hope you can enjoy some of it! <3

Any wonder why I purchased my first pair of high, black boots in Granada? There was something so compelling about the look--I just had to copy.

What a beautiful street. Is it like Las Ramblas in Barcelona?

I love the boots. I wear them myself.

Very bella! One of the many things I like about cultures outside the US is that women, or men, for that matter, can walk arm in arm down the street and it has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

I so appreciate seeing women all dressed up. We've become so casual here in the US, but it feels good to look put together.

I hear you about the Roman Holiday. Oh, to be on a Roman Holiday AND have Gregory Peck at your side!

I wish I could travel to Rome too! Bring me along! ;)
Many thanks, my castle, I had already read about Granada and its new addition to its cultural calendar. Fantastic photos!

Greetings from London.
Great post - love, love Grenada (I used to live in Spain) and the latin elegance of those ladies...
What I'd do to go on a Roman Holiday with Gregory Peck - or Audrey hepburn, for that matter; I ADORE them both..!

I think I will rev my "look" up a notch or two today in honor of this post. However, my boots will have more "sensible" heels....

Love the pics of all the boots. It seems in every major Spanish city, there's a promenade to see and be seen!

The lady in the leopard jacket is very chic and those girls in those flirty mini skirts with boots are fabulous!

Great shots!
My favorite is the gray coat and gray gloves and black boots with ties with the belt askew and hanging down, and the cloud of black hair.
