Casa La Sevillana in the barrio Sacromonte

last sunday we went back to el barrio Sacromonte
for a bit of oxygen as saturday night was spent
in the exceedingly smoky atmosphere of a jazz concert
with two alluring companions named tequila and caipirinha

our walking shoes took us to Casa la Sevillana
Oh...how amazing and yes, these plates are definitely in your face

the little salamanders on the wall below are supposed to bring luck
it's always a good sign here in Andalucia
to have one resting on a wall in the house
during the hot summer days

the little frame above says
la mujer y la guitarra para usarla
hay que templarla

women and guitars are alike
in order to use them you need to warm them up

hum.....did you say macho ?

by the way who's in charge of the cleaning here ?

with such a big amount of pots and plates
well....one needs a little help

donativo para mantenimiento gracias
please help us, maintaining the house. thanks
i wonder if this would work for my car

we carried on...looking vaguely for a place to rent

and found this abandoned house with a Moorish arch
which naturally doesn't deserve this uglissimo metal door

the wall.....I love this wall
it evokes sweet memories of Marrakesh
I need to touch it to feel the Moorish vibes

what was that place then ?

is it for sale ?
mmm.....this needs some investigation

LaLa, I never knew, there were so many beautiful places in Spain, and visiting them, so much fun. Look at you near the pink wall, looking so glamorous---I like your necklace--style style style---three times style, you are a lovely lady Lala and what a life, to see all these beautiful things....
How do they keep that wall so white? Here, the rain would make it grey....

So lovely, something about white and blue plates and geranium remind me of my childhood!
Hello Lala and Moncheri!

I'm glad you photographed that amazing house; what a wonderful facade! I really like it very much...and yes, who IS in charge of the cleaning, and also the watering of all those plants???

The salamanders are a nice touch.

I loved today's post. Especially the blue and white pots overflowing with geraniums. Lovely, lovely.

I enjoy visiting your castle so much. It evokes happy smiles. In fact, in my favorites folder, I created a folder called Travelogues just for you. I love my frequent travels to visit you.

Hope your day is wonderful.
