Collages - the beginning of an exotic series
I'm developing a furious love for collages these days
the slow paper cutting calms me down
and makes me dream of faraway exotic places
Yoli read my mind when she asked me
if by any chance I was going to make some
with an Asian theme. Indeed it is my next step

I once had my Japanese period when I was working
as a translator in Paris. I loved the old movies
of Mizoguchi, Ozu, Kurosawa and took classes
of Japanese for a year which was quite challenging
but definitely lots of fun
the kanjis above mean "the banquet under the flowers"
it is the name of a traditional Japanese pastry called wagashi
these poetical names are inspired from the Tale of Genji
a major classic work of Japanese literature
written in the XIth century
My next step is the desert and Africa
but I'd love to make at least 2 more oriental ones
as you might have noticed I don't blog too much
about Granada these days
the heat is just TOO much !
edit to post :
please forgive me if I sound monomaniac
but can I share one of my favorite Japanese movies?
An Actor's Revenge (1963) by Kon Ichikawa
a fascinating story and a feast for the eyes
a book ? The Golden Pavilion by Yukio Mishima
or as Jojo mentioned, Silk by Alessandro Baricco

I will note those films. I have not seen any of them and I'm sure they are wonderful.
