In my village.....

After a few days of dull cloudy weather, we are now in full Indian summer and there's nothing I like more on sundays late mornings than my little walk to the bakery. Yesterday, I took my camera to get a few pics of my favorite roof terrace in the village. When you walk, looking up, this is what you see: a pretty order of plants and flowers punctuating an immaculate white wall
Fragrant jasmine makes the walk more pleasantThe sight of this lemon tree always cheers me up
It grows behind the wall of an abandoned house. I always wonder what it will become in the future
This is one of my favorite houses in the village, mainly because of the pale blue color. The first floor was for rent at one time and I thought of opening my work studio there but...this house has a number 13 and superstition made me change my mind....
This is my second favorite house in the village. It is a mystery for me because, nobody lives in it or seems to ever visit and yet it is not completely abandoned...And its number is 5....a lucky number!

bisous

Superstition, I usually jump right into things that are deemed superstitious just to debunk it. I love the number 13 for instance...and black cats and ladders...Your walk to the bakery is so fresh and bright and clear, very beautiful!Glad you are feeling better! LOVExxxooo

I love doors set in walls - what secrets lie beyond, I wonder? And since I have discovered preserved lemons, I SO want a lemon tree. Unfortunately they do not do well so close by the sea, I hear. Sadly I will have to buy my lemons at the shop ...

beautiful places these are
I, too, like the color that blue house. Might be able to get over the #13 to live there. Lemon trees. That would be most fun, to walk out and pick a lemon off a tree. Don't know why, other than it seems to mean you are in an exotic environment. More exciting than peaches.
