A Moorish lazy afternoon in Granada
Do girls really wear this kind of outfit?...
Why yes...we're all belly dancers here !
And you wear djellabas as well ?
Why yes...we're so very near to the Moroccan coast
Today I take you to the calle de las teterias
the Moorish tearoom's street as we name it.
I can never remember its name properly
When the weather is grey and rainy just like last thursday
this is where Monchéri and I like to hang around
We entered one we've never been before

We entered one we've never been before
all simply decorated in a typical Moorish and oriental style
I'm waiting for my mint tea with a cuerna de gacela
(oriental pastry made with almond paste and cinnamon)
Yes, Monchéri squints a bit...
Please forgive him if the photo is badly focused.
Come on, have some tea and take another pic

Lala, you really are so fortunate to be where you are. Thank you for the invitation you extend every day to all your blogging friends, to share a few special moments enjoying some of the beauty that surrounds you. Bless you for taking the time to post all these beautiful photos.
Best regards,
Lavinia
This all looks very familiar to me!
Beautiful stuff.
When are you coming to Morocco?
Paz
My own cheri doesn't take very good pics either....I guess some of us have what it takes, and others don't!
There actually was a time (eons ago!) when I would have loved to don one of those glittery outfits and give belly dancing a whirl!
And the tearooms, those look lovely. I would love a cup of real Moroccan mint.
xoxo
You've got a very nice blog, love the Moorish pics and all. And that's very interesting!
Mind if I add your blog to my blogroll? :)
The pastry looks delicious. I love the warm colours on the walls. Thank you for sharing - maybe I'll visit Spain one day and Morocco in the same trip!
Well, of course the photo turned out that way, it must be that dreamy look he has while looking at you ;-)
