In my beige....

I dreamt this charming zephyr would bring me happy news from the Atlantic, singing something like : "hail, hail...you won Diane's painting of a dress" ....alas no...oh well never mind, may be another time !

Today I feel in my beige...Soy en mi beis, I told Monchéri and he said he was too. It's just a phrase meaning: so-so, half and half, half-sad, half-happy, half stupid, half moody, half visible even...and with no reason justifying the beige state of mind

so here's a post celebrating romantic beigitude

with lace stocking and silk garments designed for an invisible waist
perfumed gloves for delicate hands
oh...the impossible object of torture and desire
the compulsory element of seduction

What an interesting expression. Beige has never been my color, maybe now I know why.

beige has it's place, indeed, a place to sigh and breathe, relax and gather. I was keeping my fingers crossed that you would get the beautiful painting , I guess my fingers are not majic after all.

Beigitude! I love it. It can be blah, but also very understated and powerful. Peaceful.

Beige. The color of our discontent. But sometimes beige can make bright colors pop. I hope the coming days bring an explosion of color and light. xo, P.
"In my beige"...describes it perfectly!

Beige never looked so beautiful!
Talkig of fans and seduction, in Cuba it was popular in centuries gone by to converse in a particular manner using fans (ladies, of course). I wonder if we got our tradition from the Spaniards. Fan language was ever so popular with young debutants trying to convey messages to their hopeful counteparts at a time when chaperons were 'de rigueur'. I like beige, but only when I'm on holidays in a warm climate :-).

Greetings from London.

You make beige positively gorgeous.

Now you need a beige dessert...maybe a brulee or profiterole and I think you'll feel much better.

Oh this is a lovely inspirational beige post! In defense of beige, I think that it comes in all kinds of shades, from sandy to creamy off-white to cappuccino. It just depends what you call it! Call it beige, it sounds yukky, use a more interesting word, and it sounds gorgeous! (Perhaps that goes for one's beige state of mind as well...)

Sometimes, it's just beige. I get that.
You've done a magical job celebrating it here though!
Where do you get your fantastic images? You must be on the road all the time~

Beige state of mind. What a wonderful way to describe it. Even better, a fabulous way to rise above it. Marvelous post.

Beige has never looked better, beautiful images that are positively uplifting. Does that mean that beige is not all bad?
Looks like it was a fascinating exhibit.
