El bar de Miguel in Nigüelas in el Valle de Lecrin

Sunday morning was warm and sunny and we went to join some friends at Miguel's bar in Nigüelas, a tiny village in the Lecrin valley.

El Bar de Miguel is nothing fancy but it's lovely and quiet, very busy on Sundays especially when the weather is nice. It's so easy just to sit there, talk and watch time goes by
the waiter is muy simpatico
the tapas are muy simpaticas, too, here, quail eggs and jamon serrano
but one of the friends had a very tasty salchichon to share....another friend just picked up some mimosa....I was so thrilled because I've been wanting some since a few days
I love the old traditional tiled houses in Nigüelas
its peaceful olive and almond orchards
there is still some snow on the sierra behind us but spring is here for sure

Wish you a non-stress monday !

Those of you who live across the ocean are so lucky when it comes to food. I sat outside at a cafe yesterday too - I ordered a ham panini, which had no resemblance to a panini whatsoever. I guess it was their idea of an American panini. And the ham? Well, all I can say is - How I miss jamon serrano!!! The view wasn't anywhere near as beautiful as yours either. What in the world am I doing here?!! But I am happy that you had such a nice weekend, Lala!
Love to you,
Catherine

Looking at the pictures, I see you had a beautiful day. I really like the picture of the snow on the Sierra with blossoms on the trees.

I had no idea what Mimosa looked like, it is beautiful.

I must let you know that you have been tagged.

Another lovely weekend ... . I just visited Vicki in Provence and it seems that you had all the sunshine in your neighborhood. She was blown around by the cold Mistral. Where ever we are, we're all ready for more dining al fresco! JJjjj

What a life! I lived in Holland for 4 years, and I miss the lazy beautiful life of sitting at a cafe with a lovely drink on a weekend. Enjoy it for the rest of us!

Hi Lala

As everyone else said and wished...I too want to be there. Sometimes a simple nice trip to a lovely village like Nigüelas become a wish and a dream to be made.
I always admire the quiet, simple mornings like the one you had my dear friend.
