Mamma mia......!

I'm still in an Italian mood and look what I found browsing on the Internet : photos from the new Vatican calendar. When I first saw these belli ragazzi, I thought, this can't be, surely it's some kind of post-mortem joke by Fellini. Ma no! Since 2005, Venetian photographer Piero Pazzi happily contributes to the fame of the Vatican and photographs some...hum...very handsome and sexy priests and seminarists indeed. The calendar is sold for the humble sum of 10€ and...you guessed right....is mainly bought by women and gay men, which is quite funny considering the Pope's declarations about homosexuality.

I'm protestant so don't go to confession but honestly,
I wouldn't mind confessing my little sins to one of them !

I purchased four of these calendars last time I was in Venice- What a waste of some obviously gorgeous genes. Then I thought "but no- they are all gay" so it wouldn't matter. Maybe they are assigned the job of "lead us not into temptation"...their calling on behalf of the ever punishing Catholic tradition.

Dear Lala...My brother ,David is a devoted follower of your blog and forwarded me the sexy (ironic) calender boys.And all I can say is ......Why all the robes? Couldn't they get rid of the cassocks and robes and soutains and what-not and just where a collar or some rosary beads or something else to verify their calling?

I saw the 2010 edition already for sale last week in newspaper stands all over Rome (didn't check at the Vatican, darn! *g*).

Thank you for writing about this movie! I saw billboards all over Rome plastered with the Vespa scene, but didn't have the time to go see it (what with "big nights" every night of my stay).

I have known a couple of Italian guys still living with la mamma. I am looking forward to go watch that movie!
