White strawberry and paper cake....

One of my favorite summer treats are strawberries...I mean red strawberries. So when I saw these white strawberries on some web sites, it intrigued me a lot. Oh dear...white strawberries ? Did they reach you in your part of the world ? They're actually called pineberries as they are mixed strawberry and pineapple and originate from Southern America. To sum it up, they look like red strawberries dipped in white fondant and taste like pineapple...
Mmmm.....it leaves perplex....
Anyway, this morning I inquired about their upcoming apparition in Spain but until now they are only sold in England. God save the strawberry !
On the other imaginary food front, I resumed my series of paper cake toppers in shape of a cake. They're meant to be placed on top of a wedding cake or as adornment on the sweet table or as centerpiece.

Have a wonderful week end !

1st pic from Internet but can't remember which website...sorry...

Intriguing strawberries. They look a bit like they were doused in bleach, but I would love to taste them. Your flowered cake topper makes me wish I was getting married again (oh, to the same husband)...and Spain would be the perfect location! A lovely weekend to you, Lala.

Pineberries....how strange! In my opinion if it isn't broken, don't fix it!

Your cake toppers are absolutely gorgeous.

Wow those pineberries are amazing.
They certainly look lovely, but I think I would feel cheated if they didn't taste of strawberries, but you could have fun with dinner guest if you served them.

I love the cake topper, it's wonderful. You could fill them with chocolate as well they are so pretty.

much love

Lala- the strawberries look alien or ill but intriguing...Your cake looks very nearly delicious and i would have one of those if I ever got married...again...I mean If I really liked the idea, at the moment I am not on great terms with the idea of marriage... your cakes would be nice for birthdays! Or for just waking up in the morning and feeling special.

Those strawberries are so intriguing, I want to try one! And your cake topper is beautiful, it reminds me of the paper flower hats that Chanel did a while ago...just beautiful!
