A quick visit to Rocio

I went to see my friend Rocio at midday for a quick chat
before she resumes her long and busy day as a chef.
She's been running her restaurant El Chambao de Vizco
for sometime now and people from Granada
love to come down during week ends for a nice lunch
in a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by trees

Rocio is one of these women who really impress me.
She loves her trade, well, I guess this would be expected.
It's her energy which actually impresses me.
She does it all on her own. She works on her own land to
grow the vegetables she uses in her food, she takes care of the garden of the restaurant,
she does the maintenance at times,
and today she laughed when I suggested
perhaps she should have a little siesta in the afternoon.
No time !
....and me who thought that siesta and slow rhythm
were a common routine in Andalusia...not necessarily !

Have a sweet week end

I am always amazed and quite in awe of those who can run restaurants and supply the ingredients for the food on thier own - amazing, as is the setting.

That looks like such a great little place - I wish I could just pop round and spend the afternoon sitting in the shade, eat and chat... xo
