Andalusian farniente

After being busy with my Pop Up French Pâtisserie (see my previous post),

it was nice to relax and cool down with some home made beer by a friend.

A strong and rich beer which Monchéri appreciated more than me...alas

I'm not much of a beer drinker, so instead I received this pot of honey...also

homemade, with this honey wax.

Après le buzz de la Pop Up Pâtisserie (voir mon post précédent),

rien de tel qu'un peu de farniente avec une bonne bière fraîche faite maison

par un ami. Une bière riche et généreuse que Monchéri a apprécié plus que moi....

eh oui...je ne suis pas trop amateur de bière alors j'ai reçu ce pot de miel...

fait maison aussi, avec un morceau de cire.

Our friend who has lots and lost of bees, and makes his own honey

explained to me how to make my own facial mask mixing the honey wax with 

so and so but I was too fascinated by his kitchen to concentrate on the facial mask. 

From where we were seated, we could see bunches of roses in the garden. 

There was an old copper warming pan hanging on the wall, next to the fireplace. 

My type of friendly kitchen really...

Notre ami qui a beaucoup d'abeilles et fabrique son miel m'a expliqué comment

élaborer mon propre masque facial en mélangeant la cire avec je ne sais plus

quels ingrédients. Je l'écoutais distraitement parce qu'en fait j'étais fascinée

par sa cuisine. De la table où on était assis, on pouvait voir un buisson de

roses dans le jardin. Une vieille bassinoire en cuivre était suspendue au mur,

à côté de la cheminée. Tout à fait le type de cuisine où on se sent bien...

And did I mention the house ? 

More about this later in a few weeks because we're planning

something really cool in those amazing gardens !

So...when I said farniente...it was just for a couple of hours....

Et est-ce que je vous ai parlé de la maison ?

Eh bien je vous en dirai plus dans quelques semaines parce qu'on

a un projet vraiment super dans ces merveilleux jardins !

Quand je pense que je vous parlais de farniente....

en fait, il ne s'agissait que d'un farniente de deux heures, pas plus...
