Dessert is served

When I invite friends for dinner, I try not to be desperately perfectionist...
but...I do love making the extra effort to offer them a nice dessert.
So last night was moka cake festival....This delicious cake has everything
to be tempting....Coffee buttercream, Gioconda biscuit soaked with rum flavored
syrup and sprinkled with toasted hazelnuts. The recipe I've got is from
my beloved Pierre Hermé and you can find it here (scroll to bottom). It's a real labour
of love which usually takes me an average of 4 hrs, but you can make the coffee
buttercream and the Gioconda biscuit, one or two days before and assemble
it on the d-day. And do I need to mention that this labour of love is really
worth it...every inch of it!

What's even better is to have some leftovers the day after...Sunny
sunday morning + moka cake = (almost) heaven
