Feria, fiesta....time to dance baby !
the Granada feria, el Corpus Christi
is starting next month...olé!
Little casetas (little cabins) will be
set up in the streets
If you have the honour of being invited
to one of them
for a glass of vino tinto (red wine)
then you will have to look your best
and wear the traditional flamenco dress,
don your hair up, add some necklaces
and earrings...
And here you go...
Ready to dance the sevillana ?
But we need to find a dress first....
Mmmm...don't know about the purple

Black and white may be ?
Yeah I'd rather go for yellow
Actually I made myself a dress
many years ago
well ...more to dance the salsa
but still, it could do.....
Monchéri says we have to parade
in the streets on horseback,
so we now have to find a horse
(i think he's kidding)

they look so girly
that i can hardly stop looking
at them!
:-)
i would want to buy them
and hang them in my windows
for the light to come through...
for the wind to dance...
that last one,
that is the one i would wear
and
yes,
ride that horse through town!
YES!
(is that yours?
you go girl!
good taste! )
Or the black and white...yes...
We have a fiesta every year in the summer...oh to have a flamenco dress!!
Actually I'd love to see the festival of Semana Santa. With the parade of those hooded masked men amidst the strong religious atmosphere, it gives me a chill yet awe-inspiring feeling.
Though sitting in a lady saddle isn't that easy... *giggles*
We saw almost all the caballeros (at least it felt like that) in the Romeria San José on their way to the church in El Rocio, such an special experience!!!
Those dresses are really something extra, even though some of the color combinations don't suit me.
We were hoping to catch some Flamenco dancers, but sadly we didn't....
