I made these collars a few years ago to present them at the
Workshop tradeshow in Paris. I think I showed them on the blog earlier. At the time, I wanted to play with the idea of the ruffs or "fraises" which were in vogue in the XVIth century.
today I'm starting a new series of collars without fur, more evening-like with lace and velvet...As it is a grey rainy day here, I feel quite happy and lucky to work at home.

though i've not thought of collars, i have thought of the neck ties that mr.darcy and mr. bingley wear in pride and prejudice. they as so fashionably beautiful and warm. yours too are luxurious!
do enjoy today, rainy and grey here in nyc too. got the heat on warming my cosy nest:)
sending warm hugs...
braid my hair like a girl in a Leonardo paint,it is spring here!
