A lovely French-Spanish dinner party in Pinos del Valle

In my last post, I was telling you how busy I am but..

busy or not when my French friend Anne-Muriel invites me for dinner, it's not to be missed.

First, because she's a witty lovely blond lady with an extra dosis of good humour

and second because her dinner parties are very much like her :

French, gorgeous and chic.

And once cheese, cake and coffee have been served
we always listen to the Rolling Stones in the end, which is cool

Dans mon dernier post, je vous disais que j'étais busy busy mais busy ou non,

quand mon amie Anne-Muriel m'invite à dîner, aucune hésitation n'est permise.

D'abord, parce que c'est une adorable blonde pleine d'esprit avec une bonne dose d'humour

et ensuite parce que ses dîners lui ressemblent : beaux, chics, à la française....

Après le plateau de fromages, le gâteau et le café
on écoute invariablement les Rolling Stones, ce qui est plutôt cool

Of course, last night it was too chilly in her pretty patio to dine outside.

Anne-Muriel runs a B&B, Casa Aire de Lecrin in her lovely house
and in warm and sunny weather, breakfasts are served in the patio.

Bien sûr, hier soir il faisait trop froid pour dîner dans le joli patio.

Anne-Muriel tient un B&B Casa Aire de Lecrin dans sa belle maison
et lorsqu'il fait beau et ensoleillé, les petits déjeuners sont servis dans le patio.

so we dined inside, cozy and warm, by the fireplace
and the soft glow of candlelights.

une belle table nous attendait, sous la douce lueur des bougies
et la bonne chaleur du feu dans la cheminée.

I quite liked her French adaptation of a Swedish recipe : pork, apples, figs and raisins
served with a delicious purée of pumpkin and carrots.

J'ai bien aimé sa version française d'une recette suédoise : rôti de porc avec pommes, figues et raisins

servi avec une délicieuse purée de citrouille et carottes.

It looks like a Christmas dish, don't you think ?

This week end for me is all about work again.
No more dinner parties
