Slow life in Andalusia

When you live in Andalusia, the problem is that in summer you feel like
all the tourists who come here.....it's hot and it's very easy to get very laid back and
just enjoy the slow life. You feel time is elastic, a little bit like in Africa, and it is
a very pleasant feeling. Mind you, at the moment, I'm so busy planning my next
High Tea event and also translating on the side, that I feel guilty if I spend more
than 1h for lunch or if my siesta exceeds 20 mn.

In summer, it's funny how we feel suddenly on holiday even if we're not.

Some days ago, when we were on the beach in Almuñecar,
I dreamt of having a very simple fisherman cabin away from the hords of tourists.

When I arrived in Spain, I actually fancied buying an old lighthouse but
perhaps, I would get claustrophobic in the end. I was once invited by the family
who owns the lighthouse above and I loved it...It felt very comfortable
and secluded...the kind of place where you could easily lose all notion of time...

When you live in a beautiful and desirable place, you have to share it with so many. I'm sure you will be glad when the tourists go home ;-) I congratulate you on your recent business successes and hope you continue to go from strength to strength. Hugs. xx
You are so lucky to live in a place where you can feel like you're on holiday most of the time. Having said that, even London feels a little holiday-y when the sun is out and we spend an afternoon in a park followed by outdoor drinks... I just wish that feeling could last all year :-) Bisous xo
Beautiful photos, Lala. Just stopped by to wish you a lovely August in Andalusia!
