Thai Elephant in Restabal...exotic and romantic

When my friends Dao and Natasha told me they were going to

open a Thai restaurant in the Lecrin valley, in the south of Granada,

I knew we were getting a step further to heaven in our little sunny corner of the world.

Because you see, I love Thai food. Dao who is an adorable Thai woman and also 

happens to my former neighbor runs the Thai Elephant with her lovely daughter Natasha.

I love their food, and most especially the ambiance you feel when you're there.

It's a true haven of peace and serenity which surrounds you.

Lorsque mes amies Dao et Natasha m'ont dit qu'elles allaient ouvrir

un restaurant thaïlandais dans la vallée de Lecrin, au sud de Grenade,

je me suis dit qu'on se rapprochait un tout peu plus du paradis dans notre

coin du monde ensoleillé.

Parce que j'adore la cuisine thaïlandaise...Dao qui est une adorable Thaïlandaise

et qui se trouve être mon ancienne voisine officie en cuisine avec sa fille

Natasha qui est tout aussi adorable. J'aime beaucoup leur cuisine et particulièrement

l'ambiance qui se dégage de ce lieu. C'est un vrai hâvre de paix et de sérénité. 

 

I took a friend for lunch there last week. I always start with a prawn 

Tom Yam soup and then have all the starters instead of a traditional course meal.

My friend did the same and then we had a delicious home made mango

 mousse and lemon sherbet for dessert.

J'ai emmené une amie pour déjeuner la semaine dernière. Je commence

toujours par la soupe Tom Yam aux gambas et ensuite je prends toutes les

entrées plutôt qu'un repas avec entrée et plat. Mon amie a fait la même chose

et pour dessert, nous avons choisi une délicieuse mousse de mangue et un

sorbet au citron, fait maison.

We lingered on after our jazmin tea...thinking how nice it would be

to lie down in a hammock for a siesta. Actually, Natasha is seriously

considering the idea since many customers told her the same...

On a traîné après le thé au jasmin...en pensant que ce serait tellement bien si

on pouvait rester là faire la sieste dans un hamac...En fait, Natasha est en train

de réfléchir sérieusement à l'idée car plusieurs clients lui ont déjà dit la même chose...

 

If you're travelling in the Granada area, I strongly recommend you

to drive to the Lecrin valley and discover this exotic and romantic gem.

You won't regret it.....

Si vous voyagez aux alentours de Grenade, je vous recommande

vivement de faire un détour par la vallée de Lecrin et de découvrir

ce petit bijou exotique et romantique.

Vous ne le regretterez pas....
